Session II: Drawing and Design with Roger Goldenberg

PMAC's Roger Goldenberg will lead this drawing course for adults beginning March 12th.  This course will reinforce fundamental drawing skills with emphasis on ink, pen and brush media (other media may be addressed). As the drawings advance in complexity, greater attention will focus on design and invention, especially regarding contrast and drama.

From 1995–1999 Roger served as adjunct painting and drawing instructor at UNH. Subsequently, he taught a life drawing class for the New Hampshire Institute of Art at Sanctuary Arts, Eliot, ME and a series of woodcut and monotype printmaking workshops at the AVA Gallery and Arts Center in Lebanon, NH and at his studio. In 2012 Roger received his third prestigious Artist Entrepreneur Grant Award from the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts to help launch statewide the visual jazz performance “In Ears ‘n’ Eyes.” This collaborative performance involves many of the Seacoast star jazz musicians, including PMAC faculty Matt Langley, Mike Effenberger, Eric Klaxton, Chris Klaxton and Jim Rudolph. Roger’s visual jazz pieces can be seen in collections both nationally and abroad. He maintains a studio at The Button Factory in Portsmouth.
